As a kid, I would look forward to my favorite milkshake from the Dolls House in South Africa. It was called a Choc Banana Double Thick and it was more like an ice-cream. It had big chunks of frozen banana and it was impossible to drink through a straw so you had to eat it with a spoon.
This smoothie is a much healthier version and it loaded with tons of protein, so it’s perfect as a meal. But it is so yummy you won’t even realize it’s good for you. Your taste buds will thank me.
If you want a dairy-free option, you could use soy, coconut or almond milk.

PrintChoc Banana Protein Smoothie
Ingredients
- 1 frozen banana
- 8 ice cubes
- 1 scoop chocolate protein powder
- 1 TBS smooth peanut butter
- 1 cup milk (fat free/full cream/almond/coconut/soy)
- 1 tspn vanilla extract
Instructions
Peel bananas and freeze in a zip lock bag.
Add a frozen banana and ice cubes to the blender. Add the protein powder, peanut butter, milk, and vanilla extract.
Blend until smooth. Pour into glass and serve.
