#1: Melissa Mayo Interviews Her Husband Saul

On the first episode of Melissima, I interview my favorite person on the planet. My husband, Saul Mayo. We discuss travel, careers, hobbies, parenting, and the essential components of a successful marriage. Saul is a network engineer, adrenaline junkie, my soul mate, and best friend. Enjoy episode one.

This podcast has been on my mind and my heart for so many years. I’ve always wanted to hit record, but I just overcomplicated it because I wanted it to be perfect.

But I finally decided the best way to launch the podcast would be to interview my favorite guest on planet Earth. My number one, my soulmate my partner in crime, my best friend, and my husband Saul. I figured our chat that would give you an up-close and personal look into my world.

It’s an unfiltered chance to get to know me a little better.

And since Saul is not one for planning or scripted conversations we kept it totally random. At the onset, he told me he didn’t want to discuss boring things like how we met, where I’m from, who my best friend is and what I had for lunch. So I had no outline for this episode.

As a result, we went all over the map discussing marriage, food, travel, social media, our home in Italy, hobbies, tips for parenting.

It’s no surprise that after 20 years together we still fight…

But we also share our secrets for creating a successful loving partnership where we compromise and support each other. I hope you enjoy hanging out with us. And I am so excited to have you on this adventure.
