A few months ago my husband got hooked on these protein shakes at the Equinox gym. He had to have one after every workout. But at $10 a shake I decided I would recreate it, so he could make it at home.
Every morning without fail I hear the Vitamix whirring away. He cannot get enough of it and says he has dreams of swimming in a big vat of it. Kinda like my dream of a red wine bath.
Saul says it keeps him going till lunchtime. If you want a dairy-free option, you could use soy or almond milk.
Time to shake it up!!!

Peanut Butter & Banana Protein Shake
Ingredients
- 1 frozen banana
- 8 ice cubes
- 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
- 1 TBS smooth peanut butter
- 1 cup milk (fat free/full cream/almond/soy)
- Pinch of cinnamon
Instructions
Peel bananas and freeze in a zip lock bag.
Add a frozen banana and ice cubes and to blender. Add theprotein powder, peanut butter, milk and cinnamon. Blend until smooth.
Pour into glass and serve.
